B2B CONTENT WRITER

As our B2B Content Writer, you will be responsible for crafting the strategic narrative for our clients’ integrated marketing campaigns. You’re already a confident and capable writer, ideally with experience in B2B marketing for technology clients. You work with strategic planners to turn deep insights into strong propositions that speak to target audiences. You outline the narrative that drives engagement with target audiences before it goes to the copy team. Your value propositions will steer our copywriters and enable them to develop the full messaging for all campaign content tactics. You help us turn strategic insight into actionable narratives.

Your day job

Working in a thriving, vibrant marketing agency means every day will be different. However, as part of your remit in developing tailored propositions you will:

  • Turn strategic intelligence into structured propositions that make the story meaningful for target audiences and help differentiate the brand
  • Whether the information comes from desk-based research, primary research findings or client discovery sessions, you’ll be confident about using insight-driven knowledge to craft tailored strategic messaging
  • Build out the core narrative (core thought, themes / topics, and messaging hierarchy) for client buy-in, audience engagement, and campaign longevity
  • Develop full outlines and rationales for all proposed hero, hub and hygiene content
  • Collaborate with the copy team to ensure a smooth handover of the strategic messaging approach – making sure the copywriters understand the narrative, priorities and direction, so they can develop full copy across all tactical content
  • Provide strategic messaging and narratives for ad-hoc projects (buyer personas, brand stories, thought leadership, hero content walkthroughs, etc.)
  • This may include internal/external messaging frameworks to provide clients with guidance on how the full campaign story fits together for different audiences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver considered propositions that inspire, excite and influence audiences
  • Work with strategic planners to turn insight-driven truths into a core value story that’s creatively impactful and strategically sound
  • Drive the core narrative (including themes, story arc/messaging hierarchy and frameworks) to inform the briefing and delivery of campaign tactics
  • Show how the proposition plays out in market with headlines, rationales, and CTAs for all hero, hub and hygiene content across the buyer journey
  • Work closely with Revere teams to outline the strategic propositions and support the seamless transition of narratives into full copy and creative
  • Help keep strategic narratives on track during tactical development (guidance and version checking)
  • Continually develop and deliver new learnings to drive client value and enhance customer experiences (what will stand out and cut through in B2B technology marketing)
  • Validate hero, hub and hygiene content with creative references and inspiration.

Your skills

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a marketing agency
  • B2B technology marketing experience would be a plus
  • Versatile, energetic, can-do writer with the ability to craft meaningful strategic narratives
  • Confidence to turn cohesive strategies into impactful propositions
  • Experience in developing content themes and rationales
  • Awareness of the different touchpoints and triggers in a B2B customer journey
  • Passion for trends and topics to deliver the best recommendations
  • Champion the B2B customer experience and reflect that in your writing
  • Strong working knowledge of bringing client and campaign ambitions to life
  • Excellent professional writing and storytelling skills
  • Exceptionally strong grammar and attention to detail
  • Natural relationship builder and proactive collaborator
  • Build credibility and trust with clients and agency staff at all levels.
