Operations Director

Due to exciting growth at Revere, we are looking to add the brand-new role of Operations Director to our leadership team. As Operations Director, you will develop and oversee all aspects of our operational strategy. You will be responsible for supporting all teams across the business to ensure they are operating collaboratively and effectively, resulting in optimal quality, efficiency, and profitability.
The Operations Director will be pivotal in ensuring that our operational processes are designed to support rapid growth and that Revere provides an excellent experience for both our clients and employees. A key part of your role will be to apply the analysis and interpretation of business data to achieve continual operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational strategy and processes

  • Ensure Revere has the most appropriate and comprehensive processes, policies and training in place, and that is documented to support consistency, efficiency, and adoption of best practises by all employees/future employees
  • Work with department heads to understand their priorities and pressures, developing processes that take these into account, and promoting cross-team collaboration and understanding, ensuring all teams are working to the same goals
  • Work with the department heads to guide scope of work, project management, resource planning, and profitability – and that creep is known and managed
  • Implement structure and processes to identify time drainers and pinch points – then work with internal teams to plan and resolve
  • Be seen as the go-to advisor and advocate for employees by understanding operational challenges and providing solutions for change
  • Impart your operational knowledge and skills in a constructive, empowering, and collaborative way across the business
  • Manage the process for external project costs across departments to support best practise supplier management and accuracy in tracking and forecasting
Analysis and reporting
  • Continually evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analysing, and interpreting data and metrics, and recommend and implement operational improvements accordingly
  • Develop operational business and department KPIs and regularly monitor and report on progress
  • Standardise and deliver regular reporting on operational metrics to the Leadership Team and wider business
  • Conduct regular profitability analysis of services and work with the Client Services Director to ensure the pricing model is optimum and in line with industry expectations
  • Monitor talent utilisation throughout the business to maximise employee efforts, monitor billable vs unbillable, develop long term resource plans based on workflow projects and business forecasts
Innovation
  • Ownership of the roadmap for the development of Radar, our proprietary agency management software, working with the in house dev team to ensure ongoing development is timely and supports our processes
  • Work across departments to aid Radar new feature adoption, standardise processes, streamline efficiency, and increase automation
  • Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of the latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position
  • Research and implement new systems/tools to support operational efficiency and exceptional customer experience for clients engagement with Revere
  • Encourage and support innovation from across the business, understanding the desires and recommendations from team members
Business Support
  • Own Revere’s facilities policies and procedures that make Revere a safe, professional, and enjoyable place to work. Ensuring all legal and Health and Safety measures are adhered to
  • Own Revere’s IT function, ensuring the provision of equipment and software to meet business requirements and future needs
Oversee all contract negotiations and terms, ensuring all goods and services required for the business are within agreed costs and quality standards are aligned

The team

As part of the Leadership Team, the Operations Director drives the strategy and oversees all operation aspects of our business to help achieve business goals and competitive differentiation.

Key skills

You will have a genuine passion for operational excellence and will recognise the importance of good processes to support the optimal client and employee experience. A critical thinker with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills who thrives on working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will be given the space to act autonomously, excelling in making the right operational decisions for the company.

Experienced operations professional, you will have:
  • Extensive operations management experience in a similar role
  • Significant agency and/or service industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles eg, supply chain, customer service, health, and safety, IT/technology etc
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and performance/operation metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills
